Gearchem to Take Part to National Conference of Heat Treatments

After two years of forced interruption caused by the Pandemic, the National Conference of Heat Treatments organized by the Center for the Study of Heat Treatments and Metallography of the Italian Association of Metallurgy is ready to return in attendance from 26 to 27 May 2022.

Once again Gearchem will be present in the front row to attend the Conference in Genoa, with a large booth located in area 7 of the exhibition hall.

The heart of the National Conference, which celebrates this year its twenty-seventh edition, will be represented by all the companies involved in the Heat Treatment supply chain, starting from those who perform TT, passing through the production companies that need heat treatment, to plant manufacturers, suppliers of auxiliaries etc, etc.

The two days will be enlivened by a rich calendar of technical-scientific talks presented by the exhibiting companies themselves on the topics of greatest interest for the sector.

With great joy and honor, this year Gearchem will also participate in the series of conferences organized, in particular Danilo Petta (managing director) will speak on Friday, May 27 in dialogue with E. Morgano of the Fiat Research Center in Turin in the debate “Tempering fluids; state of the art in the automotive field.

It will be possible to choose between full participation in the two days or only in the exhibition area and in the technical-application sessions animated by the sponsor companies. There will also be access to the exhibition area only for one or two days.

In the October issue of the international magazine of AIM there is an editorial by Danilo Petta.

In this contribution, the Managing Director of Gearchem reviews the history and importance of the Conference on Heat Treatments, which was first held in Genoa in 1960.
Since then, the Conference has become a reference point for the sector and a fixed biennial appointment.
With the growth of the AIM Study Centres, the Committee took the name Centro Trattamenti Termici e Metallurgia (Heat Treatments and Metallurgy Centre), investigating the science and technology of heat and thermochemical treatment of metals.
The Centre has grown to promote one of the most extensive educational and scientific offerings at AIM.

Characterized by the objective of being a connective tissue between business needs and training paths, AIM and the Heat Treatment and Metallography Centre continue to play an important strategic role for companies in the sector.
Training courses and study days are the backbones of training courses that aim to support the sector in the continuous and necessary technical updating. The Congresses also provide an opportunity to compare notes with academic and industrial research in both national and international fields.

It is by underlining the importance of these events that Petta proudly announces the next National Conference on Heat Treatments, scheduled to take place in Genoa in 2022.

Gearchem announces its participation as coordinator and as a speaker on the 18th edition of the Modular Heat Treatments Course organised by the AIM Technical Committee Heat Treatments and Metallography.

The edition focuses on specific heat treatments in the automotive field, cryogenic treatments, laser TTs and presents as a novelty the TTs of metal alloys produced by additive manufacturing. Danilo Petta will manage the “Introduction to hardening techniques and media D. Petta – Gearchem, Castello d’Argile BO” lesson.

The course has been redesigned and rescheduled to ensure better participation and enjoyment of the contents. This is why it will be attending in webinar form.
